Wild Herbs of New Mexico Series

Class Details

COVID UPDATE: We hope to offer this as an in-person outdoor field class (masks required) but are prepared to hold it as a live interactive online course, if necessary. We will update this page as more current information becomes available.

This course is a 2 part series, in which you will learn about wild medicinal plants from desert and mountain habitats in central New Mexico in 2 field trips. The herb walks take place in the wild areas surrounding Albuquerque and focus on plant identification, medicinal plant uses, and landscape history.

Want more? This class is an excellent companion for the Ecological Herbalism Series offered both semesters. Also see our additional spring field classes: Edible and Medicinal Weeds and Solstice Medicinal Plant Walk in the Bosque.
